The work significantly deepened the understanding of the social, economic, and cultural systems that contribute to the marginalization of vulnerable communities. The region represent one of the most underdeveloped areas in Maharashtra grapples with a range of deeply rooted social issues that disproportionately affect women. Entrenched patriarchal norms often result in the systematic denial of human rights for women and LGBTQA individuals, manifesting in practices such as child marriage, a declining sex ratio, dowry related pressures, and honour based violence.
