Oxford’s interest in cutting-edge work produced from within psychology provides an exciting opportunity in this volume. One challenge to advancing social justice and scholarship in the area of women’s human rights has stemmed from a lack of comprehensive analysis of the mechanisms by which women’s status puts them at risk for violations of their basic rights and how these circumstances can be transformed.
